Assuming the translation in this video is accurate, then this is an outrage. Children are being taught to carry rifles and join jihad against Israel–to be ready to sacrifice themselves in the name of a political cause. Shameful.
The Gamaliel Foundation is a community-organizing group that acts as the ground troops for Barack Obama’s domestic policies, especially health-care reform. Anyone who has spent any time in church will recognize the worship cadence of this clip, which puts Obama in the place of the Lord in prayer:
The following video was made last December. For this group, the ‘healthcare’ issue had already earned a prayer long before any debate began. This prayer to Obama (Hear our cry, Obama) is disgusting and heretical. The speaker invokes the Prophet Jeremiah, who asked “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?” (Jeremiah 8:22).
Many are saying that the response from the crowd is ‘Hear our cry, Obama’. I’ve listened to it several times now, and sometimes it sounds like ‘Hear our cry, O God’, but the very first response (at approximately 1:53) sounds very much like “Hear our cry, Obama.” Shameful.
According to the person who posted this to YouTube, this video was filmed around June 19, 2009 at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ. The children appear to be preparing for a performance of some kind.
While it’s appropriate to teach children to respect our elected leaders, we should never, NEVER worship them. What we see in this video borders dangerously on the latter. If these children were singing about Bush or Clinton or Sarah Palin, the outrage would be the same. What’s next, Obama’s version of Putin’s Nashi Youth?
Since when does the Franking Commission get to censor what representatives get to say? When House Republicans wanted to hold a ‘town hall’ meeting via telephone, the Franking Commission required that they submit the language of their ‘phone announcement’ before proceeding:
“What we proposed as language was as follows, ‘House Democrats unveiled a government-run health care plan,’” Carter said. “Our response from Franking was, ‘You cannot use that language. You must use, ‘The House majority unveiled a public option health care plan,’ which is Pelosi-speak or ‘just last week the House majority unveiled a health care plan which I believe will cost taxpayers…’”
