One other note regarding my (above) comments on Zen: I am born again. Jesus Christ is my lord and savior. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.... Considering the apparent lack of time between now and the end of the Age, I would not recommend spending time in Zen unless one is born again and is paying the dues there. Zen practice could be a major diversion if one is not already firmly rooted in the Body of Christ.

Regarding "Zen", the person credited with bring Zen to the West, D. T. Suzuki, wrote that "Zen" actually should be called "Prajna". "Prajna" refers to the state of mind where one directly perceives the reality of what one is focusing on. If one is focusing on something that is evil, that will become clear immediately. Zen/Prajna meditation is not the mind-numbing meditation practiced in other systems; it is a method that focuses the mind and senses, as well as brings the practitioner to a state of in-the-moment clarity, not the fuzziness, anxiety, or rigidity that most of us run around with in our heads. Actually, Zen easily can be separated from Buddhism. Zen is more of a psycho-technology, not a religion.

Astounding revelation! Reminds me of the scriptural admonition against repetitive prayers like mantras...I'll have to do some digging to find it...
Thanks for bringing this to light...Maybe someone will see the error of their way and turn to the only Way...YHWH and His son...
