In the Blink of an Eye

CAN THE sun blink? Funny question, isn’t it? I would have thought so up until a couple of weeks ago.

On a very sunny afternoon, my husband, daughter, and I all experienced what we can only describe as a “sun blink”. All light sources went dark for a couple of seconds – really! The event so affected us that I posted a description of it to a forum to which we belong. Then I received a note from a member of that forum telling me that another family – in Vancouver – had also experienced the blink.

Why would God permit us to perceive these seconds of darkness? Ultimate – palpable darkness? Perhaps, He wants to remind us that He controls everything – even the source of all physical light – the Sun. All of this on top of a very cool summer – sometimes even cold. Add to this the fact that a club shaped asteroid called Toutatis (Celtic name for the god of war) is heading toward an extremely close pass with Earth, and it’s clear that signs are everywhere.

Can the arrival of our Lord and Bridegroom be far away? If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Savior, then please read the Gospel of John. You’ll find that Jesus Christ died for everyone – we need only call upon His name, and He is ready to forgive every sin (He paid the price for all of them). Here’s a great website that clearly shows the scriptural “road” to find Jesus. These scriptures are clear and only require that you search your heart, listen to the Holy Spirit’s gentle voice calling to you Christ, and confess your need for His salvation. It’s called “The Romans Road”. Go there now: http://www.romansroad.com/id49.htm

Please write and tell me about your decision – I’d love to welcome you into God’s family!
