Just a quick mention of this tidbit. I’ve just added an update to my earlier post about Mark Sanford’s sudden reappearance at the Atlanta airport after spending his time in Argentina (not the Appalachian Trail–nice try at a cover story). In his presser this afternoon, Sanford wept a little and explained a lot, claiming he’d actually been having an affair (now over, he says) with someone in Argentina (an old friend–presumably a woman).
Here’s the additional tidbit. In his speech, Sanford said he’d been seeking counseling with ‘C Street’.
‘C Street’? As in ‘The Family’? ‘The Fellowship’? (see Wikipedia article here).
The Family (aka The International Foundation, Fellowship House, and a whole bunch of other names) began as a Seattle movement in 1935. By 1942, it moved to Washington. According to the Wikipedia article:
The movement has had some involvement with the New Age Movement also known as the “Cultural Creatives Movement” in the form of Paul N. Temple, a former Standard Oil executive who was also instrumental in founding the Institute of Noetic Sciences as well as the World Business Academy. In 1987, The Family co-sponsored a conference, Bridging Through Christ, at the Goldlake New Age center near Boulder, Colorado. Barbara Marx Hubbard and Doug Coe co-chaired the event; David Spangler, Findhorn Community representatives, and Conservative Baptist Seminary representatives including Vernon Grounds and Gordon Lewis participated.
The catalyst appears to have been Paul N. Temple, who co-founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences and is a major funder of both IONS and The Family through his “Three Swallows Foundation.” The address of 133 C Street, SE, is the mailing address for Doug Coe,[3] and the address given on the 990 IRS form of the Three Swallows Foundation.[4]
This reeks of setup–or rather the continuation of one. Blame it on Christians. These are wolves wearing the clothing of lambs, yet their actions will be laid at the feet of the real herd.
That’s okay. We know who the real sheep are, and we know the REAL Shepherd. And He’s coming back–not like a lamb, but as a LION. And His teeth are very, very sharp.
Article – Stanford: The Plot Thickens.
I was having a Telephone conversation with reference to the above article with a friend in Scotland. The moment I made refernce to your name Sharon, her phone went dead, not only that this person was unable to return my call as her line lost its dial-tone.
Although in the UK, I’ve been following the Stanford incident, for immediately I heard of it, I had alarm bells ringing. I’m just wondering if Stanford’s family have been threatened – hence the weak cover-up.
Not only is the plot thickened. It has been thickening for many years. I was dumbfounded for years as to why my opposition to the New Age Movement had so much opposition from alleged Christians. When I discovered the Rev. Moon and Paul Temple connections in that order, things started making much more sense to me. Yes, we have had wolves in sheep’s clothing among our ranks — for many years.
