Back in 2009, the Federal Government announced the winner of the NBAF facility site, Kansas State University. It’s been nine years, and I thought I’d link to their most recent update. The building is nearing completion, and the new BSL-4 Labs are expected to take over investigations into zoonotic disease and foodborne illnesses by 2022 or so.
NBAF will replace the Plum Island facility.
